Getting There

  • Train

    From Fukuoka Station, take the JR Kagoshima Line towards Kagoshima Chuo. Get off at the Sasaguri Station (approximately a 30-minute ride). Once you arrive at Sasaguri Station, exit the station and head towards the east exit. You can find a bus terminal just outside the station.

  • Bus

    From Sasaguri Station, take the Nishitetsu bus bound for Sasaguri Jinja (Sasaguri Shrine). The bus ride will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop called 'Shinhenji-mae' which is located near the temple.

  • Walking

    Once you get off at 'Shinhenji-mae' bus stop, Koyasan Shingon Sect Shinhenji Temple is a short walk away. Head south on the main road for about 300 meters. The temple will be on your left at 392 Sasaguri, Kasuya District, Fukuoka 811-2405.
