Getting There

    Start your journey at Tenjin Station, a major subway hub in Fukuoka. From Tenjin Station, take the Kuko Line (Airport Line) towards Fukuoka Airport. Ride for 6 stops and get off at Nakasu-Kawabata Station. Transfer to the Hakozaki Line at Nakasu-Kawabata Station. Board the train towards Hakozaki. After 5 stops, get off at the next station, which is the Takatori Station. From Takatori Station, it's a 10-minute walk to Momiji Hachimangu. Exit the station, turn left, and walk straight for about 800 meters until you reach the shrine.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take the bus, head to the nearest bus stop from your current location. Look for a bus that goes towards Sawara Ward. You can use the Fukuoka City Bus website or app to find the right route. Get off at the Takatori 1-chome bus stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Momiji Hachimangu. Walk straight, and you will see the shrine on your left.

  • Taxi

    For a more convenient option, you can take a taxi. Simply tell the driver 'Momiji Hachimangu' or provide the address: '1 Chome-26-55 Takatori, Sawara Ward'. The ride should take approximately 20 minutes from the city center, depending on traffic.
