Experience Odawara Castle Information Centre

Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car from Hakone, start by heading east on Route 1 (Tōmei Expressway) towards Odawara. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, take the exit toward Odawara from Route 1. Continue straight onto Route 255 and follow the signs for Odawara Castle. As you approach the city center, look for signs directing you to Odawara Castle Information Centre, which is located at 6 Jonai, Odawara, Kanagawa 250-0014. Parking is available near the castle, but check for any parking fees which can vary depending on the lot.

  • Train

    To reach Odawara Castle Information Centre by train, first head to Odawara Station. From Hakone, you can take the Hakone Tozan Railway to Gora Station, then transfer to the cable car and take it to Sounzan Station. From there, take the Hakone Ropeway to Owakudani Station. Finally, take the ropeway back to Togendai Station and switch to the Odakyu Line to Odawara Station. Upon arriving at Odawara Station, exit the station and walk about 15 minutes to the castle. You will pass through the shopping street and can enjoy local snacks along the way. The train fare will be around 1,500 yen, depending on your starting point.
