If you're driving from Hakone to Odawara Castle, start by getting on Route 135. Follow the signs for Odawara. Continue on Route 135 until you reach the junction with Route 1. Merge onto Route 1 heading towards Odawara. After about 20 minutes, take the exit toward Odawara City Center. Follow the signs for Odawara Castle. There is parking available near the castle, but note that it may incur a parking fee of around 500-1000 yen depending on duration.

For public transportation, head to Hakone-Yumoto Station. Take the Hakone Tozan Railway to Odawara Station, which takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Odawara Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the south exit. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to Odawara Castle. You may encounter some hills, so wear comfortable shoes. The train fare is approximately 400 yen.

Alternatively, you can take a local bus from Hakone to Odawara. Board the bus at the Hakone-Yumoto Station bound for Odawara Station. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and costs around 500 yen. Once you reach Odawara Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the south exit. The castle is a 15-minute walk from there, or you can take a local taxi if preferred.
