Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Hakone, take Route 1 (Odawara-Atsugi Road) towards Odawara. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 30 km. Then, take the exit for Route 134 toward Hayama. Follow Route 134 along the coast for about 10 km. You will see signs for Shin-nase Beach. Turn right onto Horiuchi, and the beach will be on your left. There is parking available nearby, but it can be limited on weekends and holidays. Expect to pay around 500 yen for parking.

    From Hakone-Yumoto Station, take the Hakone Tozan Railway to Odawara Station. The journey takes about 15 minutes. At Odawara Station, transfer to the JR Tokaido Line and take a train towards Atami. Get off at Zushi Station (about 20 minutes). From Zushi Station, take the Keikyu Line towards Shin-Zushi and get off at Hayama Station (10 minutes). From Hayama Station, you can take a taxi to Shin-nase Beach which is about a 10-minute ride, costing approximately 1,500 yen. Alternatively, you can walk from Hayama Station to the beach, which takes about 30 minutes.
