Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from central Hakone, take Route 1 (also known as the National Route 1) towards Fujikawaguchiko. Continue for approximately 30 km (around 40 minutes), following signs for Lake Kawaguchi. As you approach Lake Kawaguchi, turn onto Prefectural Route 707 and follow the signs to Yagizaki Park. The park is located at 897 Kodachi, Fujikawaguchiko, and you can find parking available nearby. Note that parking fees may apply, so be prepared for a small cost.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Yagizaki Park via public transportation, start by taking the Hakone Tozan Railway from Hakone-Yumoto Station to Gora Station. From Gora Station, transfer to the Hakone Tozan Bus towards Lake Kawaguchi. Get off at the Lake Kawaguchi Station. From there, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Yagizaki Park, which is approximately 5 km away. Be aware that bus fares will apply, and the total travel time may be around 90 minutes depending on connections.

  • Train and Bus

    Another public transport option is to take the Odakyu Romancecar from Shinjuku Station directly to Hakone-Yumoto Station. From Hakone-Yumoto, board the Hakone Tozan Railway to Gora Station, and then switch to the Hakone Tozan Bus heading to Lake Kawaguchi. After reaching Lake Kawaguchi Station, take a taxi or a local bus to Yagizaki Park. The total journey may take around 2 hours and will incur costs for both the train and bus rides.
