If you're traveling by car, start from Hida City Center and head east on Route 158. Follow the signs for Takayama, and continue for about 25 kilometers. Once you reach Takayama, follow the signs toward Kataharamachi district. The Ikada Bridge is located at 75 Kataharamachi, Takayama, Gifu 506-0847. There is parking available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking, which can cost around 500-1000 yen depending on the duration.

Public Transportation (Train)
To get to Ikada Bridge using public transportation, take the JR Takayama Line from Hida City to Takayama Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Takayama Station, exit the station and walk towards the bus terminal located nearby. You can take a local bus heading towards the Kataharamachi area. The bus fare is approximately 200-300 yen. Once you get off at the Kataharamachi bus stop, the Ikada Bridge is a short 5-minute walk from there.

If you prefer to take a bus directly from Hida to Takayama, take the Nohi Bus from Hida City. The bus ride takes around 30-40 minutes and costs approximately 700 yen. Once you arrive at Takayama, get off at Kataharamachi bus stop. From there, Ikada Bridge is just a 5-minute walk. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions, as they are usually very helpful.
