    From Hiroshima Castle, exit the castle grounds and head south towards the main road, Otemachi Street. Walk along Otemachi Street for about 10 minutes. You will pass several shops and cafes. Continue until you reach the intersection with Motomachi Street. Turn right onto Motomachi Street and walk for approximately 5 minutes until you see the Hiroshima Museum of Art on your left at 3-2 Motomachi, Naka Ward, Hiroshima, 730-0011.

  • Public Transport (Streetcar)

    From Hiroshima Castle, walk to the nearest streetcar stop, which is 'Hiroshima Castle' station located just outside the castle grounds. Board the Hiroshima Electric Railway (Hiroden) streetcar heading towards Eba. Get off at 'Kencho-mae' station, which is about a 5-minute ride. From Kencho-mae, exit the station and walk approximately 8 minutes south along Otemachi Street, then turn left at the intersection with Motomachi Street. The Hiroshima Museum of Art will be on your left at 3-2 Motomachi, Naka Ward, Hiroshima, 730-0011. Note that a single streetcar ticket costs around 200 yen.
