Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Hitachi and head south on Route 6 (also known as the Joban Expressway). Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 50. Take Route 50 towards Tokyo. After approximately 50 kilometers, take the exit for Minato City. Follow the signs to Shinbashi, where Karasumori Shrine is located. The shrine's exact address is 2 Chome-15-5 Shinbashi, Minato City, Tokyo 105-0004. There is limited parking in the area, so be prepared to find street parking or use a nearby pay parking lot, which typically costs around 300-600 yen per hour.

Public Transportation - Train
From Hitachi Station, board the JR Joban Line towards Ueno. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Disembark at Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and head towards Shinjuku. Get off at Hamamatsucho Station (approximately 5 minutes ride). From Hamamatsucho Station, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Karasumori Shrine. Follow the signs to Shinbashi, and then continue towards the shrine located at 2 Chome-15-5 Shinbashi. Make sure to check the total cost for the train fare, which is approximately 1,500 yen.

Public Transportation - Bus
If you prefer bus travel, from Hitachi Station, take an express bus to Tokyo Station, which runs regularly and takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Tokyo Station, take the JR Yamanote Line towards Shinjuku and get off at Hamamatsucho Station. From there, it’s a 15-minute walk to Karasumori Shrine at 2 Chome-15-5 Shinbashi. The bus fare is usually around 2,000 yen one way.
