Car
If you are driving, head towards the city center of Hitachi and follow the signs for Route 6 (also known as the Joban Expressway). Continue on Route 6 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the Minato area in Tokyo. From Route 6, take the exit towards Shimbashi. After exiting, follow the signs for Higashishinbashi. The Old Shimbashi Station Railway History Exhibition Hall is located at 1 Chome-5-3 Higashishinbashi, Minato City, Tokyo. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that there may be parking fees.

Train
For those using public transportation, start by taking the JR Joban Line from Hitachi Station to Ueno Station. The journey takes about 1 hour. From Ueno Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line towards Shinjuku and travel to Shimbashi Station, which takes about 10 minutes. Upon arriving at Shimbashi Station, exit the station and head towards the East exit. From there, walk for approximately 10 minutes to the Old Shimbashi Station Railway History Exhibition Hall located at 1 Chome-5-3 Higashishinbashi, Minato City, Tokyo. Note that the train fare from Hitachi to Ueno is approximately 1,500 yen.

If you prefer to travel by bus, take the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway bus from Hitachi Station to Tokyo Station. Once at Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line to Shimbashi Station. This journey may take longer, approximately 2 hours in total. After arriving at Shimbashi Station, exit towards the East exit and walk about 10 minutes to reach the Old Shimbashi Station Railway History Exhibition Hall. The bus fare from Hitachi Station to Tokyo Station is around 1,000 yen.
