If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Route 6 (Tōhoku Expressway) from the center of Hitachi. Follow the signs to Ibaraki Prefecture and continue south for about 50km. Once you reach the Tokyo area, take Route 6 towards Katsushika City. After approximately 15 minutes, exit at Shibamata and follow the signs to Okudo. Continue straight on Okudo Street until you reach 1 Chome-21-14 Okudo, where Kokonoe-beya Sumo Stable is located.
Public Transportation
To reach Kokonoe-beya Sumo Stable via public transportation, start at Hitachi Station. Take the JR Joban Line towards Ueno and transfer at Abiko Station to the Tobu Noda Line towards Noda. Get off at Matsudo Station. From Matsudo, take the Keisei Line to Keisei Takasago Station. Once there, exit and walk to the bus stop. Board the bus heading to Katsushika City and get off at Okudo 1-chome bus stop. From there, walk approximately 5 minutes to 1 Chome-21-14 Okudo, where the sumo stable can be found.
