Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the center of Hitachi, take Route 6 (also known as the Joban Expressway). Follow Route 6 south for approximately 90 kilometers. Take the exit toward Edogawa City and merge onto Route 14. Continue on Route 14 for about 10 kilometers. Follow the signs for Shinozaki Park as you approach Kamishinozaki area. There is parking available at the park, but be prepared for parking fees which typically range from 300 to 500 yen.

  • Train and Bus

    Start at Hitachi Station. From Hitachi Station, take the JR Joban Line to Ueno Station. At Ueno Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line and travel to Kasai Station. From Kasai Station, exit and take bus number 12 towards Kamishinozaki. Get off at the Kamishinozaki stop, which is a short walk to Shinozaki Park. The total travel time is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and the train and bus fare combined is around 1,000 yen.
