Getting There

Car
From central Hitachi, get onto Route 6 (also known as the Joban Expressway) heading south. Follow the signs for the expressway towards Tokyo. After approximately 90 kilometers, take the exit towards Kitasenju. Merge onto Route 4 and then follow signs for Katsushika City. It should take around 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once in Katsushika City, you can use a GPS or map application to navigate to 5 Chome-7-2 Nishishinkoiwa, where Monchhichi Park is located. Parking is available nearby, but may incur a small fee.

Train
From Hitachi Station, take the JR Joban Line towards Ueno. You will need to transfer at Toride Station to the JR Joban Line Rapid Service. Ride until you arrive at Kitasenju Station. From Kitasenju, transfer to the Tobu Skytree Line and get off at Nishishinkoiwa Station. The travel time will be approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once you exit Nishishinkoiwa Station, head north on foot for about 10 minutes, following the signs to Monchhichi Park at 5 Chome-7-2 Nishishinkoiwa.

From Hitachi, take the local bus to Hitachi Station. Then, follow the train directions provided above. Alternatively, you can check if there are direct buses heading towards Katsushika City, but this option may take longer and require checking the local bus schedules. Be prepared to pay the bus fare, which is generally around 500 yen depending on your destination.
