Getting There

Car
To reach Tokyo DisneySea by car from Hitachi, start by getting onto the Joban Expressway (常磐自動車道). Follow the signs for Mito and merge onto the expressway. Continue for approximately 70 km (about 1 hour) until you reach the Narita Interchange. From there, take the exit onto the Shuto Expressway (首都高速道路) towards Tokyo. After about 40 minutes, follow the signs for Maihama and exit at Maihama toll gate. There is a parking fee of around ¥3,000 per day at the Tokyo Disney Resort parking lot.

To travel by train, start at Hitachi Station (常陸多賀駅). Take the JR Joban Line (常磐線) towards Ueno. You'll need to transfer at either Toride Station (取手駅) or Katsuta Station (勝田駅) to the JR Keiyo Line (京葉線) towards Maihama. From Maihama Station, it's a 15-minute walk to Tokyo DisneySea. Alternatively, there are shuttle buses available that can take you directly to the park entrance for a fee of around ¥250.

If you prefer to travel by bus, you can take a highway bus from Hitachi City to Tokyo Disneyland. Buses run regularly from Hitachi Bus Terminal to the Tokyo Disneyland area. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and tickets cost approximately ¥2,500 one way. Once you arrive at the Tokyo Disneyland bus terminal, you can either walk to Tokyo DisneySea (approximately 20 minutes) or take a local bus for a small fee.
