If you're driving from Hitachi to Tokyo Gate Bridge, start by getting on the Joban Expressway from Hitachi. Follow the expressway for approximately 60 kilometers (around 40 minutes) until you reach the junction with the Shuto Expressway. Merge onto the Shuto Expressway and follow the signs toward Koto City. Continue on the Shuto Expressway and take exit 3 toward Koto City. After exiting, follow the local roads to Uminomori, where the bridge is located. Note that expressway tolls will apply, typically around ¥1,500.

Public Transportation
To reach Tokyo Gate Bridge using public transportation, start by taking the JR Joban Line from Hitachi Station to Tokyo Station. This journey will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Keiyo Line and get off at Shiomi Station (2 stops). From Shiomi Station, take bus number 29, which will take you directly to the Tokyo Gate Bridge area. The bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Make sure to have cash or a prepaid Suica/Pasmo card for bus fare, which is about ¥210.
