Car
If you are traveling by car from Hitachi to Tokyo Skytree, start by getting onto the Joban Expressway (E6) from Hitachi. Follow the signs for Tsukuba, and merge onto the North Kanto Expressway. Continue southbound until you reach the Tokyo area. Once you are close to Tokyo, take the exit toward the Shuto Expressway (C1), and follow signs for Asakusa. Exit at the Oshiage exit, which will lead you directly to the Tokyo Skytree area. There is parking available near the Skytree, but it may incur additional costs (approximately ¥300 per hour).

To reach Tokyo Skytree from Hitachi via public transportation, start your journey at Hitachi Station. Take the JR Joban Line towards Ueno. Transfer at Ueno Station to the Ginza Line (subway) and head toward Asakusa. Get off at Asakusa Station and follow the signs to the Tobu Skytree Line. Board the Tobu Skytree Line train and travel one stop to Oshiage Station. Upon exiting Oshiage Station, follow the signs for Tokyo Skytree, which is a short walk from the station. The total travel time is approximately 1.5 hours, and a one-way ticket will cost around ¥1,000.

Alternatively, you can take a highway bus from Hitachi to Tokyo. First, head to the Hitachi Bus Terminal and board a highway bus bound for Tokyo Station. Once you arrive at Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and travel to Ueno Station. From Ueno, transfer to the Ginza Line and head towards Asakusa. Get off at Asakusa Station and transfer to the Tobu Skytree Line, heading one stop to Oshiage Station. After exiting, follow the signs to Tokyo Skytree. The bus fare will vary but is typically around ¥2,000, and the entire trip will take approximately 2-2.5 hours.
