If you're driving, head to the Tsukiji area in Chuo City, Tokyo. From Hitachi, take the Joban Expressway (E6) towards Tokyo. Exit at the Narita Interchange and continue on Route 6 towards Chuo City. Follow the signs for Tsukiji, and once you reach Tsukiji, look for parking options nearby. Note that parking in the area might incur fees.

For public transport, make your way to Hitachi Station. Take the JR Joban Line towards Ueno. After about 50 minutes, transfer at Ueno Station to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Take the Ginza Line towards Shibuya and get off at Tsukiji Station (3 stops). From Tsukiji Station, exit via Exit 1, and walk for about 10 minutes to reach Tsukiji Hongwan-ji Temple. The total cost for this journey will be approximately 1,500 yen.

Bus
An alternative option is to take a bus from Hitachi to Tokyo. Look for a bus service that travels to Tokyo Station. Once you arrive at Tokyo Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and get off at Ginza Station (2 stops). From Ginza Station, take the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line towards Asakusa and get off at Tsukiji Station. Exit via Exit 1, and walk for about 10 minutes to reach the temple. The bus fare will vary, but expect to pay around 2,000 to 3,000 yen.
