Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Hitachi City. Take Route 6 (Tōhoku Expressway) heading south towards Mito. Continue on Route 6 until you reach the junction for Route 50 towards Tokyo. Follow Route 50 into Chuo City. Once you reach Tsukiji, look for street signs leading to 'Tsukiji Hongwanji'. There is limited parking available nearby, so plan ahead and be prepared for parking fees, which may range from 300 to 600 yen per hour.

  • Train

    To reach Temizuya by train, start at Hitachi Station. Board the JR Joban Line and head towards Ueno Station. Transfer at Ueno Station to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and take it towards Asakusa. Get off at Tsukiji Station. From Tsukiji Station, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to Temizuya located at 3 Chome-15-1 Tsukiji, Chuo City, Tokyo 104-0045. Train fares will be approximately 1,500 yen.

    If you prefer to use a bus, head to Hitachi Station and look for the highway bus service to Tokyo. The bus will take you to Tokyo Station. From there, you can catch the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line to Ginza Station and transfer to the Ginza Line to Tsukiji Station. The bus fare is around 2,000 yen, and the entire journey may take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic.
