If you are driving from central Hyuga, head northwest on Route 10 towards Takachiho. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach Takachiho. Continue on Route 10 until you see signs for Iwato Shrine. Turn left onto Iwato Road. The shrine will be on your left at 1073-1 Iwato. There is free parking available.

To reach Amanoiwato Shrine by public transport, take a bus from Hyuga Station to Takachiho. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Takachiho Bus Station, transfer to a local bus heading to Iwato Shrine. Get off at the Iwato Shrine stop, which is just a short walk from the shrine entrance. The entire trip may take around 1.5 hours.
