Car
From central Hyuga, head southeast on Route 10 towards Hososhima. Follow the signs for Hososhima for approximately 15 kilometers, which should take around 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Hososhima, look for signs pointing to the lighthouse. There is a small parking area available near the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start at Hyuga Station. Take the Nishi-Nippon Railroad (Nishitetsu) train towards Nobeoka. Get off at Hososhima Station, which is approximately a 25-minute ride. From Hososhima Station, you can take a local taxi for about 1,500 yen (approximately 10 minutes) to reach Hososhima Lighthouse. Alternatively, you can walk to the lighthouse, which will take about 30 minutes.
Walking
For those already in Hososhima, you can reach the lighthouse by walking from the main area. Head towards the coast, and follow the pedestrian paths along the shore. The lighthouse is located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the town center, and the walk should take around 20-30 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way.
