Car
From the center of Izumi, head southwest on Route 3. Continue on Route 3 for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the city of Amakusa. Follow the signs for Itsuwamachi Futae. Once you arrive in Itsuwamachi, look for the signs directing you to Tsuji Island. You will need to park your car at a nearby parking area, as Tsuji Island is not accessible by vehicle.

Public Transportation
Start at the Izumi Station. Take a train on the JR Hohi Line towards Kumamoto. After about an hour, transfer at the Kumamoto Station to the JR Nishi-Kyushu Line. Travel to the Matsushima Station. From Matsushima, take a local bus that goes to Itsuwamachi Futae. Once you arrive in Itsuwamachi, you may need to walk to the coast where you can catch a ferry to Tsuji Island.
