Car
If you are driving from central Izumo, head east on Route 9. Follow the signs for Taishacho and continue for about 25 minutes until you reach the Hinomisaki area. Once you enter Taishacho, look for signs directing you to Hinomisaki Shrine. The address is 455 Taishacho Hinomisaki, Izumo, Shimane 699-0763. There is parking available near the shrine, but be aware that it can fill up quickly on weekends and holidays.
Public Transportation
To reach Hinomisaki Shrine via public transportation, start at Izumo Station. Take a train to Taisha Station, which is about a 10-minute ride. From Taisha Station, board a local bus (the Hinomisaki Line) that will take you directly to Hinomisaki Shrine. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited, especially on weekends.
Walking
If you are already in the Hinomisaki area and wish to walk to the shrine, follow the coastal path from the nearby beach. The shrine is about a 15-minute walk from the beach area. This route offers scenic views of the coastline, making for a pleasant stroll before arriving at the shrine.
