Car
If you're driving from central Kai, head southeast on Route 20. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 134. Take Route 134 south towards Kamakura. After approximately 10 kilometers, you'll enter Kamakura city. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to 'Kamakura' and 'Buddhist Temples' as you approach. Joei-ji is located at 1 Chome-12-11 Ōmachi, Kamakura, which is near the Kamakura Station. Look for street parking or nearby parking lots as you get closer.
Public Transportation
To get to Joei-ji by public transport, start by taking the JR Chuo Line train from Kai to Otsuki Station. Transfer to the Fujikyu Railway and take the train to Fujisan Station. From there, switch to the Fujikyu Highland Line and ride to Kamakura Station. Once you arrive at Kamakura Station, exit the station and walk south for about 15 minutes. Follow the signs towards 'Kamakura Temples' and you will find Joei-ji at 1 Chome-12-11 Ōmachi. It's a pleasant walk through the city!
