    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Kosei Line towards Shimonoseki. Ride for approximately 30 minutes and get off at the Otsu Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the bus terminal, where you will find the bus services to Biwako Valley. Board the bus that is headed to Biwako Valley Ropeway. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes, and the stop will be right in front of the ropeway station.

    You can also take a direct bus from Kyoto Station to Otsu. Look for the buses bound for Otsu and board one. This journey takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Otsu, follow the signs to the Biwako Valley Ropeway bus that will take you directly to the ropeway station.
