Public Transport
If you're in central Kyoto, head to Kyoto Station. From there, take the JR Nara Line bound for Nara. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Tofukuji Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the bus terminal. Take the Kyoto City Bus #202 or #207 towards Daigoji. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the Daigoji-mae stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Daigo-ji Temple. Just follow the signs pointing to the temple.
Walking
If you are staying nearby in Fushimi Ward, you can walk to Daigo-ji Temple. Start from Fushimi Momoyama Station, head east on Oike Street. After about 20 minutes, you will reach the entrance of Daigo-ji Temple. Look for the large gate marking the entrance.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Kyoto. Simply tell the driver 'Daigo-ji' or show them the address: 22 Daigohigashiojicho, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto, 601-1325. The taxi ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
