Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line (the dark green line) towards Kokusaikaikan. Travel for 2 stops and get off at Shijo Station. At Shijo Station, transfer to the Hankyu Kyoto Line (the purple line) and take a train towards Arashiyama. Get off at Katsura Station after 3 stops. From Katsura Station, exit and walk towards the north for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Shimokawaracho. Turn right and continue walking for about 5 minutes until you arrive at 483 Shimokawaracho, Higashiyama Ward.

  • Bus

    From Kyoto Station, head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Take Bus number 100 or 206. Get off at the 'Gion Shijo' stop. From there, walk along Shijo Avenue towards the east for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Shimokawaracho. Turn left onto Shimokawaracho and continue for about 5 minutes until you arrive at 483 Shimokawaracho, Higashiyama Ward.

  • Walking

    If you are near Kiyomizu-dera Temple, you can walk to Ebisuya Higashiyama. Start from Kiyomizu-dera and walk down the hill towards the main road (Kiyomizu-zaka). Once you reach the main road, turn left and continue walking towards Gion. After about 15 minutes, you will reach Shijo Avenue. Turn right and walk for 5 minutes until you arrive at the intersection with Shimokawaracho. Turn left onto Shimokawaracho and continue for another 5 minutes until you reach 483 Shimokawaracho, Higashiyama Ward.
