Train
To reach Fushimi Inari Taisha, start by heading to Kyoto Station. Take the JR Nara Line from Kyoto Station towards Nara. Get off at Inari Station, which is just two stops away. Once you arrive at Inari Station, exit the station and you will see the entrance to Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine directly in front of you. The shrine is a short walk from the station, making it easy to find.
Bus
If you prefer to take the bus, start at Kyoto Station and find the bus terminal, located just outside the station. Take the Kyoto City Bus No. 5 or No. 15. Both buses will take you to the Fushimi Inari Taisha stop. Once you get off the bus, walk a short distance towards the entrance of the shrine, which will be clearly marked. The journey takes approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
Walking
If you are already in the Fushimi area, you can reach Fushimi Inari Taisha by walking. Look for signs directing you towards Fushimi Inari Shrine, which is about a 20-minute walk from the Fushimi-Momoyama Station. Head south on the main road until you reach the entrance, which is marked by the iconic torii gates. It's a pleasant stroll, with plenty of shops and sights along the way.
Taxi
If you would like a more direct and comfortable option, you can take a taxi to Fushimi Inari Taisha. Simply tell the driver 'Fushimi Inari Taisha' or show them the address: 68 Fukakusa Yabunouchicho, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto, 612-0882. The taxi ride from Kyoto Station should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
