From Kyoto Station, take the number 100 or 206 bus heading towards 'Gion'. The ride takes about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Gion' bus stop. Once you disembark, walk along Shijo Avenue, then turn left onto Hanami-koji Street, where you will find the iconic Gion district filled with traditional wooden machiya houses.
