Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the bus number 205 or 206 towards Kinkaku-ji. Get off at the 'Hirano Jinja-mae' bus stop. The Hirano Shrine is just a short walk from the bus stop, approximately 5 minutes. Head northeast on Hirano Miyamotocho street until you reach the shrine entrance.
Subway and Bus
Take the Karasuma Subway Line from Kyoto Station to Kitayama Station. Transfer to bus number 204 or 205 at Kitayama Station. Get off at 'Hirano Jinja-mae' bus stop. Walk about 5 minutes northeast on Hirano Miyamotocho street to reach Hirano Shrine.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from any point in Kyoto. Just tell the driver 'Hirano Jinja' or show them the address: '〒603-8322 Kyoto, Kita Ward, Hirano Miyamotocho, 1'. The ride should take about 20 minutes from central Kyoto, depending on traffic.
Walking (if near central Kyoto)
If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Hirano Shrine. Head north towards Kita Ward. Follow the signs for Hirano Shrine or use a map app for guidance. The shrine is located approximately 30 minutes on foot from central attractions like Kinkaku-ji.
