If you are near Kyoto Station, take bus number 100 or 206. Make sure to get off at the 'Kodaiji-mae' bus stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Kodaiji Temple. Just head down the street towards the temple entrance, and you will see the large wooden gate leading into the temple grounds.

From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line to Shijo Station. At Shijo Station, transfer to the Hankyu Kyoto Line and travel to Kawaramachi Station. After you exit the station, walk south along Shijo Street for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Maruyama Park. Kodaiji Temple is just a short walk from the park entrance.
