Bus
From Kyoto Station, take the Kyoto City Bus number 204 or 205 towards 'Kurama'. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the 'Kurama' bus stop. From there, walk straight along the main road for about 15 minutes. You will see signs for Kuramadera Temple directing you to the left. Follow the path uphill, and the temple will be on your left.

Train
Start at Kyoto Station and take the Eizan Electric Railway from Demachiyanagi Station, which you can reach by taking the Kyoto City Bus number 17 or a taxi from Kyoto Station. Board the Eizan train headed for 'Kurama'. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kurama Station, exit the station and walk towards the main road. Follow the signs to Kuramadera Temple, which is about a 20-minute walk uphill from the station.
