Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Kyoto Station, exit the station through the Central Exit. Once outside, head north towards Karasuma-dori. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection of Karasuma-dori and Shijo-dori. Turn right onto Shijo-dori and continue east for another 5 minutes. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. After crossing the Kamo River, keep walking until you reach the intersection with Muromachi-dori. Turn left onto Muromachi-dori, and Muromachi-koji Square will be a short walk ahead on your right.

From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line (green line) towards Kokusaikaikan. Get off at the Shijo Station (about a 5-minute ride). Once you exit the station, take Exit 1. Head east on Shijo-dori for about 5 minutes. After crossing the Kamo River, turn left onto Muromachi-dori. Muromachi-koji Square will be a short distance ahead on your right.

From Kyoto Station, go to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Take bus number 205 or 17 towards Kiyomizu Temple. Get off at the 'Shijo Muromachi' bus stop (approximately a 10-minute ride). After getting off the bus, walk a few steps to the intersection of Shijo-dori and Muromachi-dori. Muromachi-koji Square will be right there, a short walk to your right.
