Getting There

  • Public Transport

    If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line towards Nara and get off at Tofukuji Station (about 5 minutes). From Tofukuji Station, head to the bus stop and take bus number 202 or 207 towards Kiyomizu-dera. Get off at the Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. From there, walk towards Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and after visiting the temple, follow the signs leading to Nene no Michi (石塀小路). The path is well-marked and it will take you approximately 10 minutes to walk to Nene no Michi.

  • Walking

    If you are near Kiyomizu-dera Temple, exit the temple grounds and head down the main path. You will see the charming streets of Higashiyama. Continue walking down the hill, and you will reach Nene no Michi (石塀小路) within 10-15 minutes.
