Getting There

Public Transport
If you're starting from Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line subway towards Kokusaikaikan and get off at the Shijo Station (4 stops). Once you exit the station, head to the nearest bus stop and take bus number 100 or 206 towards Kiyomizu-dera. Get off at the Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. From there, it's a short walk to Ninenzaka. Just follow the signs leading to Kiyomizu-dera, and you'll find Ninenzaka on your left.

Walking
If you're already in the Gion district, head towards the Kiyomizu-dera temple. Walk down Hanamikoji Street until you reach the intersection at Kiyomizu-zaka. Turn left at the intersection; you will see signs pointing towards Kiyomizu-dera. Continue walking straight, and you will soon reach Ninenzaka, which is a beautiful, sloped street lined with traditional wooden buildings, shops, and tea houses.

Bus
From the Sanjo Keihan Station, take bus number 207 or 100 towards Kiyomizu-dera. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. From here, follow the signs to Kiyomizu-dera, and Ninenzaka will be on your left as you walk up the hill.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Kyoto. Just tell the driver 'Ninenzaka, near Kiyomizu-dera'. The taxi will drop you off at the foot of the hill, and you can easily walk to Ninenzaka from there. It is a short distance up the slope.
