    Getting There

    Public Transportation

    From Kyoto Station, take the JR Special Rapid Service to Osaka Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Osaka Station, follow the signs to the Osaka Loop Line and take the train towards Kyobashi. Get off at the next stop, Osaka Castle Park Station. From the station, walk towards the exit, and you will see signs directing you to the Osaka Museum of History. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the station.

    Bus

    From Kyoto Station, board bus number 100 or 206 towards Osaka. The journey takes approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic. Get off at the Otemae stop. From the bus stop, the Osaka Museum of History is a short 5-minute walk. Head southeast on Otemae Street, and you will see the museum on your left.

    Train

    From Kyoto Station, take the Hankyu Kyoto Line towards Umeda. Change at Umeda Station to the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line and travel to Namba Station. At Namba, transfer to the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line and travel north to Tanimachi 4-chome Station. Exit the station and walk for about 10 minutes northeast to reach the Osaka Museum of History.

    Walking

    If you are near Osaka Castle or Nakanoshima, you can walk to the Osaka Museum of History. From Osaka Castle, head southeast through the park, and follow the signs leading to the museum. The walk will take about 15-20 minutes. If coming from Nakanoshima, walk towards the Otemae area, which is approximately a 25-minute walk.
