Getting There

Public Transport
From Kyoto Station, take the JR San-in Line to Kitano-Hakubaicho Station. This journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kitano-Hakubaicho Station, exit the station and head north on Horikawa Street. Walk approximately 15 minutes until you reach Hirano Shrine, where Sakigakesakura is located.

If you are near Gion, take the Keihan Line from Gion-Shijo Station to Demachiyanagi Station. Transfer to the Eizan Railway and take the Eizan Main Line to Kitano-Hakubaicho Station. From there, follow the same walking directions as above to reach Hirano Shrine.

If you are staying in the northern part of Kyoto, for example, near Daitoku-ji or Kinkaku-ji, you can simply walk south towards Hirano Shrine. This will take about 30-40 minutes depending on your starting point. Just make sure to follow the signs towards Hirano Shrine.

From Kyoto Station, take bus number 205 towards 'Hirano Jinja'. The bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the Hirano Jinja stop, and you will find Sakigakesakura located within the shrine grounds.
