To get to Uji from central Kyoto, start by heading to Kyoto Station. From there, take the JR Nara Line, which can be found on the 3rd floor of the station. Board the train heading towards Nara. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at Uji Station. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs to the left towards the main street. Uji is about a 10-minute walk from the station, and you will pass several shops and restaurants along the way.

You can also take a bus to Uji from Kyoto. Head to Kyoto Station and find the bus terminal located on the north side of the station.
