Train Katana with Real Dojo Students in Kyoto
True dojo experience
I can highly recommend this for anyone who has previous experience with martial arts. I have experience with different styles of martial arts, but limited experience with a katana and I had a great time! Everything was professionally arranged, a native English speaking student who also speaks Japanese helps you out as interpreter, and will also patiently help you with everyting during the training. We walked katas, did sparring forms, and I got to cut a tatami mat, which was truly awesome. Everyone was super patient and helpful with me and with help I managed to follow most of the training. Overall it was a great introduction to the style!

Become a Samurai Movie Star in Kyoto by Filming with a Real Actor
I am a genuine SAMURAI in Kyoto
How many Japanese have had a real samurai experience? A long time ago, when I was a student, I asked Seizo Fukumoto, who was famous for his role as a slasher, to give a lecture, and I had him wander around Doshisha University’s theological hall, and I have good memories of the time when the wooden sword hurt when I was struck by it. Anyway, we had a great experience this time. Every man has played chanbara at least once. But this time it was a real experience that was not that kind of play. After studying at the Ichidori Samurai Dojo, you can change into a kimono and then it's time to get ready. He posed as Tsumasaburo Bando with the temple in the background and took a powerful photo. To make sure that foreigners understand, English will be played after the actors speak. It would be even better if there were support in other languages such as Chinese.
