Walking
From the heart of Gion, head towards Shijo Avenue. Depending on your location, you may need to walk along Hanamikoji Street, which is famous for its traditional wooden machiya houses. Once you reach Shijo Avenue, turn left and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Higashiyama Street. Cross the intersection and continue straight, following the signs towards Maruyama Park. The park's entrance is about a 10-15 minute walk from Gion.
Public Transport
If you prefer to take a bus, head to the nearest bus stop (you can ask locals for directions if needed). Take the Kyoto City Bus number 100 or 206 towards 'Kiyomizu-dera' or 'Gion', and get off at 'Higashiyama' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Maruyama Park. Note that a single bus ride costs around 230 yen.
