Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Musashi. Use the Kanagawa Prefectural Road 45 and head towards Hachioji. Follow signs for Takaomachi and take Route 20 (Yokohama Road) towards Hachioji. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach Takaomachi. Turn onto Takaomachi Road, and you will find the Takao Visitor Center at 2176 Takaomachi, Hachioji, Tokyo 193-0844. Parking is available at the visitor center, but be aware that there may be a parking fee, so check in advance.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Takao Visitor Center via public transportation, start at Musashi's nearest train station. Take the JR Chuo Line train towards Takao Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Takao Station, exit the station and follow the signs for the bus terminal. From there, board the bus heading to Takaomachi. This bus ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off at the Takaomachi stop. The Takao Visitor Center is just a short walk from the bus stop. Note that the bus fare is approximately 200-300 yen.
