Getting There

  • Walking

    From Nagoya Station, head towards the Sakura-dori Exit. Once you exit, turn left and follow the street for about 400 meters until you reach the Nagoya City Hall. From there, continue straight for another 600 meters on the main road, passing the Nagoya TV Tower on your right. After you reach the intersection with the Nishiki area, turn right and walk for about 300 meters. You will see the entrance to Honmaru Palace on your left at 1-1 Honmaru, Naka Ward.

  • Subway

    At Nagoya Station, take the Higashiyama Line (Yellow Line) towards Fujigaoka. Get off at Sakae Station (2 stops). From Sakae Station, take Exit 1 and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will pass through the Hisaya Odori Park. Continue straight until you reach the Nagoya City Hall. From there, head straight for another 600 meters, and turn right at the Nishiki area. Walk about 300 meters, and you will find Honmaru Palace on your left.

  • Bus

    From Nagoya Station, head to the bus terminal located outside the station. Take the Meitetsu Bus bound for Nagoya Castle. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes and costs approximately 230 JPY. Get off at the Nagoya Castle bus stop, and from there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Honmaru Palace. Head towards the castle entrance, and you will see Honmaru Palace located at 1-1 Honmaru, Naka Ward.
