Train
From Nara Station, take the JR Yamatoji Line towards Kyoto. Transfer at Kyoto Station to the JR Nara Line and take a train to Uji Station. Once you arrive at Uji Station, exit the station and head north on the main road for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Gokasho Street. Turn right onto Gokasho Street, and after about 500 meters, you will find Manpuku-ji on your left.
Bus
From Nara, take the Kintetsu Nara Line from Kintetsu Nara Station to Uji Station. After arriving at Uji Station, take the bus number 23 towards Gokasho. Get off at the 'Manpuku-ji' bus stop. The temple will be a short walk from the bus stop, approximately 5 minutes to the north.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Nara. Head towards the Kizu River and follow the riverside path towards Uji. It will take about 40-50 minutes to bike to Manpuku-ji. Upon reaching Uji, follow the signs to Gokasho, and once you get to the street before the temple, turn left.
