Car
If you are driving, take the Nikko Utsunomiya Road and exit at the Nikko IC. Follow Route 119 towards Nikko city center. After approximately 10 minutes, you will reach the intersection with Route 468. Turn left onto Route 468 and continue for about 20 minutes until you see signs for Akechidaira Ropeway. There is a parking lot available near the entrance of the ropeway. Please note that parking may incur a fee.

Public Transportation
From Nikko Station, take the Tobu Bus bound for Akechidaira. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary. Once you arrive at the Akechidaira Ropeway stop, you will find the entrance to the ropeway nearby. The cost for the bus ticket is around 600 yen one-way.

If you are staying at a nearby hotel or guesthouse in the Hosoomachi area, you can walk to the Akechidaira Ropeway. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from the center of Hosoomachi. Head south on Hosoomachi Street, following the signs for the ropeway. The path is well-marked, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way.
