If you're driving, start from central Omi and head northeast on Route 18. Continue on Route 18 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the sign for Shinano. Take the exit toward Shinano and follow the signs for Lake Nojiri. Once you are in Shinano, look for road signs directing you to the lake, which is well-marked. The lake will be on your left as you approach.
Public Transportation
To reach Lake Nojiri via public transportation, start by taking a train from Omi Station to Nagano Station on the Shinano Railway line. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
