Getting There

  • Car

    From Sagami City, head south on Route 467 towards Kamakura. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers (about a 25-minute drive). Follow signs for Kamakura, and as you enter the city, look for signs directing you to the Komachi Street area. The Kamakura City Tourist Information Center is located at 1 Chome-1-1 Komachi, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-0006. There is limited parking available in the area, so be prepared to find street parking or use nearby paid parking lots, which may have fees ranging from ¥500 to ¥1,000 per hour.

  • Public Transportation

    From Sagami Station, take the Odakyu Enoshima Line towards Katase-Enoshima. Transfer at Fujisawa Station to the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line and take a train towards Yokohama. Get off at Kamakura Station (the journey takes about 30 minutes). From Kamakura Station, exit the station and head south towards Komachi Street. The Kamakura City Tourist Information Center is a short 10-minute walk straight down Komachi Street, located at 1 Chome-1-1 Komachi, Kamakura, Kanagawa 248-0006. Note that train fares will cost around ¥400 one way.
