Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Hakone, start by getting onto Route 1 (Tōmei Expressway) and head towards Kamakura. Depending on traffic, the drive will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Kamakura, look for signs directing you to Ōmachi. You will turn onto Ōmachi Street, and Anyoin will be located at 3 Chome-1-22 Ōmachi, which should be easily visible as you approach the area. There is no designated parking at Anyoin, but you can find street parking nearby.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Anyoin via public transport, start at Hakone-Yumoto Station. Take the Hakone Tozan Railway to Odawara Station (approximately 15 minutes). Then, transfer to the JR Tōkaidō Line towards Tokyo and get off at Kamakura Station (about 30 minutes). Once at Kamakura Station, exit the station and head towards the East Exit. From there, take a bus (bus number 23 or 24) heading towards Ōmachi. Get off at the 'Ōmachi' bus stop, which is about a 5-minute walk from Anyoin located at 3 Chome-1-22 Ōmachi. The entire journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, including waiting times.
