Getting There

    From Kochi Ryoma Airport or Nankoku IC on the Kochi Expressway, the falls are approximately a 70-minute drive. From JR Tosa-Yamada Station, take the JR Shikoku Bus bound for Ōtochi for about 20 minutes, get off at the Birafu bus stop, and then drive for about 30 minutes. Parking is available near the falls for about 30 vehicles. There are no tolls on the final approach.

    From JR Tosa-Yamada Station, take the JR Shikoku Bus bound for Ōtochi for about 20 minutes and get off at the Birafu bus stop. From there, you will need to take a taxi for approximately 30 minutes to reach 大荒の滝. The taxi fare will likely cost around ¥3,000 - ¥4,000.
