Car
If you are driving, Tsuruga Castle is located at 1-1 Otemachi, Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima 965-0873. From major cities in Tohoku, such as Sendai, take the Tohoku Expressway towards Fukushima. Exit at Aizuwakamatsu IC and follow Route 121 towards the city center. Look for signs directing you to Tsuruga Castle. There is parking available near the castle, and parking fees may apply (typically around 500 yen).
Train
For those traveling by train, take the shinkansen (bullet train) to Aizuwakamatsu Station. From there, you can take a local bus (Aizuwakamatsu City Loop Bus) which operates regularly to Tsuruga Castle. The bus fare is approximately 200 yen. Alternatively, it is a 20-minute walk from the station to the castle, which is about 1.5 km.
Bus
If you're in the surrounding areas, you can take a highway bus to Aizuwakamatsu. From Tokyo, the bus ride takes about 5 hours, with prices starting at around 4,000 yen. Upon arriving at Aizuwakamatsu Bus Terminal, use the local bus system to reach Tsuruga Castle.
