Getting There

  • Train

    To get to Atsuta Shrine, start by making your way to Ueno Station, which is a major railway station in Tokyo. From the station, take the JR Yamanote Line (the green line) towards Ikebukuro. After two stops, get off at Okachimachi Station. At Okachimachi Station, transfer to the JR Sobu Line (the yellow line) towards Chiba. Travel one stop and get off at Asakusa Station.

    Once you arrive at Asakusa Station, exit the station and head southwest towards the Sumida River. Walk along the riverbank for about 10 minutes. You will see the iconic Tokyo Skytree in the distance. Continue walking toward the Taito City area, following signs that indicate the direction to the shrine.
