Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from any point in Hitachi and head towards the Joban Expressway (E6). Follow signs for Mito and enter the expressway. Continue on the Joban Expressway for about 60 kilometers until you reach the Tsukuba-Tsuchiura Interchange. Take the exit towards Tsukuba and merge onto National Route 125. Follow Route 125 until you reach the intersection with Route 6, then take Route 6 towards Tokyo. After approximately 30 kilometers, follow signs for Taito City. Yoshiwara Park is located at 4 Chome-40-6 Senzoku, which is easily accessible by car. Note that parking may incur additional costs, typically around 500-1000 yen depending on the duration.

Train and Walk
To reach Yoshiwara Park using public transportation, start by heading to Hitachi Station. From there, board the JR Joban Line train towards Ueno. This journey will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with several stops along the way. Once you arrive at Ueno Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and take the train towards Asakusa. Get off at the Inaricho Station, which is about 4 stops from Ueno. From Inaricho Station, exit and walk approximately 10 minutes south along Showa Dori Avenue, then turn left onto Senzoku Street. Yoshiwara Park will be on your right at 4 Chome-40-6 Senzoku. Ensure you have around 500-1000 yen for your train fare.

Another option is to take a bus from Hitachi. Begin at Hitachi Station and look for the bus bound for Tsukuba Express, which departs regularly. This bus ride takes about 1 hour. Once you reach Tsukuba, transfer to a local bus that heads towards Taito City. Get off at the nearest stop to Yoshiwara Park, then walk approximately 15 minutes south to reach the park at 4 Chome-40-6 Senzoku. The bus fare will typically cost around 1000 yen for the entire journey, so be prepared for this expense.
